To help clarify the fundamental aspects of the survey process, a five step process is outlined below. You will receive more detailed instructions when necessary (for instance, how to submit your ID list). We are available to answer any questions throughout the process.

Place Order – Complete the online order form or return the completed pdf version. Upon receipt of your order, we will set up your survey website based on the options you selected, usually within one business day. You will have an opportunity to review your survey and confirm that your options have been entered correctly. Once you review the survey and approve it, you will be billed for the first half of the participation fee. This confirmation serve as an acknowledgement that you wish to proceed with the survey and agree to be billed. However, you can still make changes to the survey up until you send the survey link to your admitted students and parents (step 3). You wll also be given access to an administrator page for your survey. (link to sample)

1

Send ID list – In order for your admitted students and parents to access the survey, each must have a unique login ID. This may be a pre-existing reference number or a new list created for the purpose of the survey. You can find detailed instructions for sbmittung the ID list here. You will be notified once the IDs have been uploaded to the survey site, at which point you will be able to send the survey link to you parents and students.

2

Send emails – Once your IDs are uploaded, you can send the survey link to your students and parents. The link will be at isasweb.com/[schoolname] at which they will enter their ID, and you also will have the option to provide unique links for each student and parent which will prefill their IDs. Once your emails have been sent you will be able to track the responses from the administrator page. At least one follow-up email should be sent. The general recommendation is to send the follow up approximately two weeks after the initial mailing, though you may use your judgment to determine the best time for you to contact your admitted families. You can filter the list of responses to determine which IDs have not yet responded and need to be followed up with. You may do additional follow ups based on whether you are satisfied with your response rate up to that point (and how likely it may be that you will receive a significant number of additional responses).

3

Close survey –. You should allow two weeks for the reports to be completed after closing the survey, so keep this in mind if you have a deadline (we will also try to meet requests for expedited results). You can submit your close survey form from your administrator page or send a completed pdf. You may also order subgroup analyses at this time, though you can order these at any later date as well.

4

Receive results – A pdf version of the report and an excel data file will be emailed to you once the report is ready. You will also receive the bill for the second half of the participation fee, along with any charges for additional reports you have ordered to that point.
